“ Your Devine House Sitters” are available for short and long term assignments. We allow you to leave your loved dogs, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters and birds in trusted and capable hands. You will be welcomed home to clean well ordered house and greeted by happy, well cared for pets. We are mature, responsible and financially stable. We are both non smokers, non drugs users. We maintain a healthy and active life style which has paid off. We are Covid compliant. Our vaccination certificates are posted in the picture section. We enjoy sailing, traveling, hiking/walking, reading, attending concerts and visiting museums. We continue to study Spanish. David just loves to cook and we both search for new and different regional and ethnic dishes. As you will soon observe, we love animals and miss having a dog. While sailing we didn’t have a dog because we felt they deserve more attention. Now we truly enjoy spoiling other people’s animals.

We became permanent residents of Mexico in 2013. We have not decided to settle in one specific location as yet. There is so much to see in this beautiful country. We are fascinated with traveling and exploring. House sitting allows us to travel with time enough to explore local culture in various places in Mexico. We have spent 10 years sailing the Pacific coast of Mexico and Central America knowing we would always return to Mexico. We love the quality of life, the friendly Mexican people and the culture.

SaM Devine, Retired and House Sitter I was born in Montreal where I attended school. My business career began there as a banker. My banking career continued in Vermont, then transitioned when I bought an accounting business. I was very involved with Emergency Medical Services as a training officer for Malletts Bay Rescue. I was a member of the State Training Officer’s committee setting EMT training standards statewide. On weekends I served on the Madonna Ski Patrol. I also taught first aid courses at Champlain College to students who were required this class to meet course requirements. Dogs have always been a part of my life, excluding my sailing years. I enjoyed the love of parakeets as a child and later as an adult. I bred, trained and showed Labrador Retrievers. In 1999 I sold my Vermont business and home and moved to San Diego California. I obtained my realtor’s license and practiced during some tumultuous and challenging years. I had the great fortune to work with both commercial and private clients. I was born to live on the water and so purchased a trawler. Pura Vida was my escape from the working world. Then I met David and my story just reached new heights
